1. Who is responsible for processing

The controller of your personal data is Impala SAS, tax number (NIF) 980 548 535, located at Largo do Outeirinho da Amendoeira 2, 1100-386 Lisbon, Portugal, the operator of Casa da Amendoeira (casaamendoeira.com).

2. What data we collect and why

a) Contact form

  • Data: name, email and message (whatever you write in it).
  • Purpose: to reply to your request.
  • Legal basis: steps taken at your request prior to entering into a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
  • Sending the form does not depend on consent. By sending it, you only agree that we process the data in order to reply to you.

b) Email and telephone

If you contact us by email or telephone, we use that data only to reply to you. The legal basis is the same as in point a).

c) Usage statistics (Google Analytics)

  • Data: pages visited, time on the site, device and browser type, approximate location, and clicks on email, telephone and booking links. Form data is not sent to Google Analytics.
  • Purpose: to understand how the site is used and to improve it.
  • Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)). It is only activated if you click "Accept analytics".

d) Technical hosting data

The server (Netlify) records the IP address and technical details of the request, for security and operational reasons. The legal basis is legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)).

e) Third-party content

The location map is an embedded Google Maps map, the video on the home page is an embedded YouTube (Google) video, and images are served by Sanity. When the page loads, these services receive your IP address. The YouTube video may also store data in your browser’s local storage.

3. Cookies

We only use Google Analytics cookies, and only after you accept:

  • _ga: to tell visitors apart. Duration: 2 years.
  • _ga_3QTKD53F25: to keep the session state. Duration: 2 years.

We store your choice in your browser’s local storage. This is not a cookie and it is not sent to anyone.

You can change your mind at any time in "Cookie settings" in the site footer. If you reject, or never answer, no measurement is activated.

4. Who we share data with

  • Netlify, Inc. (USA): hosts the site and receives form submissions. Processor.
  • Google Ireland Limited / Google LLC: Google Analytics (only with consent), Google Maps and YouTube.
  • Sanity AS (Norway): serves the site’s content and images.

We do not sell data or use it for advertising. When data is transferred outside the European Economic Area (USA), the transfer relies on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses.

5. How long we keep data

  • Contact requests: up to 12 months after the last communication, after which we delete them. If the contact leads to a booking, the data is kept for as long as the law requires.
  • Google Analytics: 14 months.
  • Server logs: the short period the provider applies for security.

6. Your rights

You may at any time ask us for access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability of your data, and withdraw your consent (without affecting prior processing). Write to info@casaamendoeira.com. We reply within 1 month.

If you believe your data has been mishandled, you may lodge a complaint with the Portuguese data protection authority, the Comissão Nacional de Protecção de Dados (CNPD), www.cnpd.pt.

7. Security and changes

We use an encrypted connection (HTTPS) and limit access to the data to those who need it. We may update this policy; the date at the top shows the version in force.
